1. Who We Are
Lightning Deals LLC is an independent software studio. In this policy, "Lightning Deals," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Lightning Deals LLC. "Services" means our apps, websites, support channels, and related services, including StoneSnap.
You can contact us at [email protected].
2. Scope
This policy applies to StoneSnap, lightningdealsllc.com, our support communications, and future Lightning Deals mobile apps that link to this policy. Some products may include additional privacy notices if their data practices materially differ.
3. Information You Provide
We may collect information you choose to provide, including support emails, screenshots, bug reports, product feedback, photos submitted for identification, collection notes, and any other content you enter into the Services.
If you contact support, we may receive your email address, message content, attachments, device details you provide, purchase context you provide, and follow-up communications.
4. Photos, Camera, And Photo Library
StoneSnap uses camera and photo library access only when you grant permission and choose to capture or import an image. Photos may be processed to provide rock, mineral, or gemstone identification, confidence scoring, descriptive details, and related app functionality.
Photos submitted for identification may be sent to our backend services and AI providers for analysis. We use submitted photos to provide the requested result, maintain service reliability, investigate abuse or errors, and improve product quality where permitted by law and platform rules.
5. Identification Results And Collection Data
StoneSnap may generate and store identification results, saved collection entries, notes, favorites, timestamps, app settings, and related metadata. Some information may be stored on your device. Some information may be synced or processed through Apple services or our backend depending on enabled app features.
6. Device, Usage, And Diagnostic Information
We may collect device and technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, performance events, diagnostics, approximate region, language, install source, session events, and feature usage. We use this information to operate, debug, secure, and improve the Services.
7. Purchases And Subscriptions
In-app purchases, trials, and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple. We may receive subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, storefront or region, renewal state, and related purchase metadata needed to unlock paid features, prevent fraud, provide support, and understand business performance.
8. Analytics, Attribution, And Advertising Measurement
We may use analytics and attribution tools to understand how users discover and use our apps, measure ad performance, improve onboarding and paywalls, and diagnose product issues. These tools may include AppsFlyer, PostHog, Meta, Google, TikTok, Superwall, Apple services, and similar providers.
Depending on your device settings, consent choices, and platform rules, these providers may process identifiers, install events, app open events, trial or subscription events, attribution data, campaign information, device information, and coarse location or region information. We do not sell personal information.
9. App Tracking Transparency And Advertising Choices
Where required by Apple, we request permission before tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies. You can change tracking choices in iOS Settings. Some measurement may still occur using privacy-preserving or aggregated methods allowed by platform rules.
10. How We Use Information
We use information to provide app functionality, generate identification results, manage subscriptions, maintain accounts or entitlements, respond to support requests, improve app quality, detect bugs, prevent abuse, analyze marketing performance, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights and safety of users, Lightning Deals, and others.
11. How We Share Information

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets involving Lightning Deals LLC.
12. AI Providers
Some features may rely on third-party AI providers to analyze submitted images or text and return results. Information sent to AI providers is used to provide the requested feature and may be handled according to our agreements with those providers and their applicable policies.
13. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, feature, legal requirement, and operational need.
